FSC-Certified Products
Heister House Millworks was granted a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification, which means we can now offer FSC-certified millworks products. This third-party certification serves as an independent, credible verification process for ensuring the wood we use for your FSC project comes from a responsibility managed forest. It also certifies our ability to track FSC projects throughout all phases of our production process in a way that meets the guidelines established by the FSC.
Thus far, Heister House Millworks can provide FSC-certified flooring and moulding. As we move forward, in an effort to continually improve our practices, it is our goal to gradually add new FSC-certified products to our offerings.
FSC certification has become a gold standard in environmentally responsible production practices. The organization’s social, economic, and environmental requirements have been deemed the most effective criteria for improving the practice of forestry. FSC-certified products are preferred by residential and commercial builders because they help attain LEED® status from the U.S. Green Building Council.
