2006 Business of the Year awarded to Heister House Millworks!
During the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce annual awards ceremony held March 8, Heister House Millworks was recognized as Business of the Year for 2006.
A fitting choice for the award, Heister House contributes greatly to the community by donating products and money to Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and those who suffered losses due to fire and flood damage. Heister House employees have also volunteered for mission trips to areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and proudly support local Future Farmers of America and 4-H clubs.
Nominees for the Business of the Year award are submitted by chamber members to be "A business or professional firm of 50 or more employees, whose ownership, management and workforce reflect the highest business standards and a commitment to enhancing the economic, civic, social and educational vitality of our communities and region."
"On behalf of everyone at Heister House I would like to say thank you to the Chamber for this award, said Wayne Yohn, Heister House General Manager. I am proud and honored to have received the Business of the Year award and am confident that we will continue to strive for excellence both in business and the community."
This award is a tremendous honor for Heister House, as their name now ranks with past award recipients such as The Daily Item (2002), Evangelical Community Hospital (2003), Conestoga Wood Specialties (2004), and Geisinger Health Systems (2005). Congratulations!
