What We Do

Heister House Millworks is a premier local manufacturer and dealer of high-quality wood mouldings, doors, custom millwork, and hardwood flooring products. The company was founded in July of 1988 when owners Brad Lauver and Lorne Nipple merged their independent woodworking businesses into one operation. In its infancy, the company supplied wood mouldings to many of the local manufactured housing companies in the Susquehanna Valley.

While manufactured housing is still a core market for Heister House today, the company also sells to local home builders and remodelers. To reach the larger markets of Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, Heister House utilizes established relationships within our building material dealer network.

Heister House features one of the most unique and comprehensive millwork showrooms on the East Coast. Homeowners from far and wide have utilized our showroom for design ideas and inspiration.

Heister House is always making efforts to improve our quality offerings. So in 2015, we entered the cabinet business with the purchase of Cameo Kitchens of Mifflintown, PA. Cameo Kitchens was a respected, local cabinet manufacturing business that was founded in 1983. Most of the Cameo employees remained with the business so that the “quality culture” could be maintained.

In addition to custom kitchen and bath cabinetry, Heister House has the ability to provide hard-to-find “built-in” products such as bookcases, entertainment centers, storage lockers, window seats, and wet bars. We have even built bunk beds and a variety of components for wine cellars.
